At DEB, we believe that respecting the environment is not just a responsibility but also an opportunity to build a better future. In recent years, we’ve steadily taken a more sustainable path, making conscious choices across every area of our business.
We’ve chosen to use primarily natural materials for our products, valuing renewable resources and reducing our environmental footprint. Our production processes are also planned to be eco-friendly, in full respect of environment and people involved.

We’ve installed photovoltaic panels that allow us to be energy self-sufficient, drastically reducing CO₂ emissions. In addition, we replaced our old heating system with high-efficiency heat pumps, completely eliminating the use of gas for heating. Today, we are a carbon-free company.
To reduce plastic use, we’ve installed a water purification system available to all our employees. We believe that even the smallest everyday actions can make a difference and help improve the quality of life and of the environment around us.
Becoming a Benefit Corporation
As of July 2024, we are officially a Benefit Corporation — a decision that represents the evolution of choices already undertaken over the past decade.
Benefit Corporations are a new legal status introduced in Italy in 2016, created to reflect a new way of thinking about the role of businesses in today’s changing world. Italy was the first country in Europe — and the first outside the U.S. — to adopt this legal framework.
A Benefit Corporation creates value and shared benefit, not just for itself, but also for all its stakeholders — customers, suppliers, employees, community and environment.
Beyond pursuing economic profit, our goal is to create long-term positive impact on community, local area and environment, operating with transparency and social responsibility and aiming to sustainable development.
For this purpose, we’ve appointed an Impact Manager and are committed to reporting on our achievements, progress and future goals in terms of social and environmental impact.
B Corp certification
Being a certified B Corp means meeting rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and responsibility. This certification — granted by the non-profit organization B Lab — confirms that DEB operates ethically and sustainably, considering the impact of every decision on all stakeholders: employees, customers, community and environment.
B Corps are committed to a regenerative business model, promoting practices that go beyond profit to create long-term value. Certification requires periodic evaluation and continuous improvement to uphold the required standards.
